Jena Bioscience Crystallography Products: Phasing
Heavy atom derivatization of biological macromolecules for isomorphous and/or anomalous phasing methods. Polyoxotungstate clusters have been successfully employed in structural studies because of its high electron-density and very good solubility in aqueous solutions. Three kits available:
- JBS Phosphotungstate Cluster Kit
- JBS Metatungstate Cluster Kit
- JBS Paratungstate Cluster Kit
Tantalum Cluster Derivatization Kits
The huge TaBr cluster gives a very strong SIR, MIR and MAD signal. Stable, soluble, and pre-aliquoted for convenient use.
Selections of halogenated ATP or GTP derivatives in single kits will enable you to screen them all in parallel. Don't waste time and crystals with a conventional "trial and error" heavy atom screen - get all the material you need for MIR or MAD experiments from one 24 well tray!
Three iodines form a triangle that is easily identified in the anomalous electron density maps produced by SAD or SIRAS.
Halogenated, Mercurated and Selen-containing Nucleotides
NatX-Ray Products: Phasing
NatX-Ray Lanthanide Phasing Compounds
New molecules for anomalous phasing of protein structures. These molecules contain lanthanides and bind tightly to the surface of macromolecules
