The Swissci/MRC Hanging Drop Crystallisation Plate Seal transforms 2 and 3 drop 96 well sitting drop plates into hanging drop plates. Each seal can accommodate up to 3 separate drops, and comes ready to use with a dust free protective coating and a specialty polymer base.

      

The seal consists of a 100 micron thin layer of UVP specialty polymer developed for compact drop creation, excellent vapor barrier properties and excellent X-ray transparency.

The seal pattern matches the 96 well format reagent wells, and adheres to the plate with a stable adhesive that does not leak or ingress into the sample.

The seals have the highest available optical quality. They are produced in a class 100,000 clean room and are guaranteed to be dust and scratch free. UV transparency allows protein and salt crystals to be distinguished using UV illumination.

To remove an individual crystal, the seal may be peeled back - or simply cut out with a scalpel.
