The 3-day Gibbs Conference annually attracts ~200 scientists with an interest in the energetics, kinetics, structure, and engineering of biological macromolecules and systems. Since its inception in 1987, the Gibbs Conference has attracted many students and postdoctoral fellows. In addition to lectures from eminent biophysical chemists, more than half of the talks are given by early-career scientists, who also network with peers and potential employers. Scientists of all career stages present posters during the lively evening sessions on Sunday and Monday.
