Low Profile Lid
The Low Profile Lid is made of anodized aluminum and is screwed on and off of the grid box with a hex key/allen wrench. The low thickness of the lid means you can stack 2 grid boxes and lids in 1 pocket of a cryoEM grid storage puck, doubling your storage capacity. The anodized aluminum is highly robust, and is less susceptible to static electricity than plastic lids. Recommended hex key can be found here.
Product Information
The Low Profile Lid is a specialized, space-saving protective cover designed for cryo-EM grid storage boxes. Constructed from highly robust anodized aluminum, it is precisely screwed on and off the grid box using a standard hex key (allen wrench). The defining feature of this lid is its exceptionally low thickness, which allows researchers to stack two fully lidded grid boxes within a single pocket of a standard cryo-EM grid storage puck, effectively doubling your cryogenic storage capacity. Additionally, the premium anodized aluminum construction provides a critical advantage during handling, as it is significantly less susceptible to building up static electricity compared to standard plastic grid box lids.
