Tips for Using our Pin Cutters

Our end cutters are designed for use on hardened and spring temper steel rod.

Because the edges of these cutters are extra-hard, they are also more brittle. To get maximum tool life, please follow two simple rules:

1. Always cut with the steel pin perpendicular to the jaws.

2. Never wiggle the pin or cutters during cutting.

Also, as with any cutter, it's a good idea to wear safety glasses.
